Lacey Rae Pacheco M.A., LPC-S
Owner, Therapist & Supervisor

Offers services in Boulder & Fort Collins

Lacey Pacheco has dedicated her career to supporting adolescents, young children, and their families. She started as a high school English teacher, where she quickly developed a passion for mental health, particularly in assisting young people with emotional challenges that impact their learning and personal development. Motivated by her teaching experiences, Lacey went on to earn a Master's degree in School and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, making the transition from the classroom to the role of school counselor.

After several years, Lacey chose to leave the school system and joined a growing private practice focused on OCD and anxiety. During her two and a half years there, she provided individual therapy and facilitated specialized group sessions. Eager to expand her reach, Lacey decided to open her own practice, with locations in both Boulder and Fort Collins, to better serve the community.

Lacey utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Inference Cognitive Behavior Therapy (I-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the Gottman Method for couples therapy. She is also trained and specializes in OCD treatment and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) Therapy.

Lacey has created and led several therapy groups including a grief group for adults, a support group for adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and anxiety groups for middle schoolers, high schoolers, and young adults. In addition, she leads Parent Exposure Response Prevention Training, offering valuable guidance to parents and caregivers as they support their children through OCD and anxiety treatment.

With extensive experience working with clients of all ages, Lacey is firmly committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. Her personal journey with OCD allows her to offer a distinctive and empathetic perspective, helping her form deep connections with her clients.

In addition to her work as a therapist, supervisor, and small business owner, Lacey has been happily married to her high school sweetheart for 20 years and is the proud mother of three children, along with two dogs and two cats. She enjoys hiking, horseback riding, live music, cycling, reading, traveling, and watching movies. A passionate animal and nature lover, Lacey believes deeply in the positive impact that both play on overall well-being.

Lacey works alongside her therapy dog, Maverick, bringing comfort and support to her clients.
