Lacey Pacheco is an OCD and anxiety specialist who has dedicated her career to supporting children, adolescents, and families. Her journey into mental health began in education—working as a high school English teacher, where she quickly recognized the profound impact emotional struggles can have on learning and development. Inspired to support students beyond the classroom, Lacey earned a Master’s degree in School and Clinical Mental Health Counseling and transitioned into the role of school counselor.

After several years in the school system, Lacey shifted to private practice, joining a growing clinic specializing in OCD and anxiety. During her two and a half years there, she provided individual therapy and facilitated targeted group sessions, deepening her expertise in treating OCD across age groups. Motivated to further expand access and impact, Lacey opened her own practice with locations in Boulder and Fort Collins, where she continues to serve her community with compassion and clinical excellence.
Lacey is trained in a range of evidence-based modalities, including:
-
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
-
Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT)
-
Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE)
-
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
The Gottman Method for couples therapy

Her personal connection to OCD gives her unique insight into the lived experience of the disorder, allowing her to build strong, empathetic relationships with clients and guide them through evidence-based treatment with authenticity and care.
Lacey has led a variety of therapy groups including:
-
A grief group for adults
-
A support group for adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
-
Anxiety groups for middle schoolers, high schoolers, and young adults
-
Parent ERP & SPACE Training, helping caregivers understand and support their children’s treatment journey

Lacey is committed to creating a warm, inclusive, and supportive therapeutic environment. Her clinical work is grounded in the belief that healing and growth happen in relationship—and that treatment should be both effective and empowering.
Beyond her professional life, Lacey is a proud wife to her high school sweetheart of 20 years and a mother to three teenagers. She shares her home with two dogs and two cats and enjoys hiking, horseback riding, live music, cycling, reading, and traveling. A lifelong animal and nature lover, she believes deeply in their role in promoting emotional well-being.
Lacey also works alongside her beloved therapy dog, Maverick, who brings additional comfort and connection to the therapy space.
